Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Detox Rehab Finder collects, why we collect it, who receives it, and how you can ask us to change or delete it. We keep data collection to what is needed to answer your inquiry and run the directory.

Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to give us through the inquiry and contact forms: your first name, optional last name, preferred contact method, the email address or phone number you provide, your state or general location, the type of resource you are looking for, an optional brief message, and your consent to be contacted. The form asks you not to include medical details, and we do not require a diagnosis, medication list, or insurance identification number.

We collect aggregate usage information — which pages are viewed, which links are clicked, whether a directory search returned results — in a form that does not identify you and does not include what you typed into a search field or your message.

How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiry using the contact method you selected.
  • To keep an internal record of requests so they can be followed up and handled consistently.
  • To understand in aggregate which pages and resources are useful.
  • To protect the site against spam and abuse, including basic rate limiting.

Who receives it

Inquiry details are received by the Detox Rehab Finder team and are stored in our internal systems. We do not sell your inquiry information, and we do not share it with treatment providers or advertisers based on your inquiry. If that changes, we will say so clearly here and ask for your consent before sharing.

We use service providers for hosting, storage, and email delivery, which process information on our behalf. We may also disclose information if we are legally required to do so.

Cookies and tracking

We use privacy-conscious, aggregate analytics on this site. We do not send your name, contact details, message content, search terms, or any indication of the specific addiction or mental health pages you visited to advertising platforms, and we do not build sensitive advertising audiences from your visits to treatment-related pages.

Retention and your choices

We keep inquiry records only as long as they are needed to handle the request and to keep reasonable business records, then delete them. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you submitted, or to stop contacting you, by emailing us. We will respond to a reasonable request within a reasonable period.

Do not include medical records or other sensitive health information in a form submission. If you need to share that kind of information with a provider, do it directly with the provider through a channel they have secured for that purpose.

Children

This site is intended for adults seeking information and resources. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

Important limits

Detox Rehab Finder is a directory and information website. We are not a healthcare provider, we do not create a provider-patient relationship, and we do not provide treatment, diagnosis, or medical advice. Information you submit to us is not protected health information under any arrangement with a healthcare provider.
